Matthew Fellner has been practicing acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine for 17 years. His experience with acupuncture started as a child who suffered from allergies. His martial arts teacher who was an acupuncturist and herbalist guided him on the path of natural medicine. He’s never looked back. In 2002, he enrolled in Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. There he earned his Masters in Traditional Oriental Medicine. He followed up with the DACM program, earning the title of Doctor of Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine. He is currently the chair of the Acupuncture department and a clinical supervisor & instructor at New Jersey's Eastern School of Acupuncture & Traditional Medicine.

Matthew believes in the principles of nature and aligning the mind/body with synergies in natural medicine.  He loves educating patients on how to recognize the connections between mind and body.   He enjoys working with patients to see how lifestyle influences disease and conditions manifest. Once they determine health goals and one sees an improvement there is a great sense of satisfaction that can align with the efficacy of Chinese medicine.  Matthew provides empathetic, focused and communicative treatments to his patients.

Dr. Matt loves educating his patients about this incredible medicine and how it can help them achieve complete health and wellness in all aspects of their lives.

He enjoys complex cases where he can discover the root of the issue to help people. Over the years, he has had incredible success treating migraine headaches, insomnia, GI issues, anxiety, depression, stress related conditions, and inflammatory diseases.

In his free time, he enjoys reading books, practicing Kung Fu & Qi Gong, playing hockey, and hiking in the woods. He also enjoys volunteering on a community farm, puzzles, and doing NY Times crossword.

Testimonials about Jersey City’s Urban Oasis

“This place is hands down the best acupuncture practice I have been to. ( I have been getting acupuncture since I’m 16 so I know what I’m talking about) Acuworx helped me to avoid getting induced (3 sessions and my baby was out lol) and has been a life saver with the aches and pains that come with carrying a baby up and down, especially carpal tunnel. I miss you guys!!!”
